Just to clarify when I mentioned I carried on working with him, I meant I carried on selling laptops and he was still my manager (not that it would matter either way as victims respond in many ways to trauma). I appreciate your comment though and in answer to your question - this experience made me realise how unclear many situations of sexual harassment and rape are. What is crystal clear however, is that anyone can change their mind at anytime during an interaction and all good people respect that. I was naive to think I had lead someone on and so could not say no. Leading someone on is a negative phrase as it teaches us we cannot change our minds, or respond to a new feeling of fear or simply a change of heart.
